What is the Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme ?

The Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme, launched by Assam’s Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, aims to provide a monthly financial allowance to women facing financial hardships. Beneficiaries receive ₹1,250 every month, which is directly transferred to their bank accounts on the 10th of each month. 

This scheme is designed to benefit approximately 27.77 lakh households across Assam, prioritizing families where women are the primary caretakers.

What is the benefit of Orunodoi Scheme ?

The financial support offered under this scheme helps families cover essential expenses, ensuring a better quality of life. Here’s a breakdown of the benefits: 

1. Healthcare

 ⦿ ₹400 per month is allocated for purchasing medicines. 

2. Nutrition

⦿ ₹200 for pulses (50% subsidy on 4 kg). 

⦿ ₹80 for sugar (50% subsidy on 4 kg). 

⦿ ₹150 for fruits and vegetables. 

3. Essential Needs

⦿ ₹170 per month for other basic household items. 

4. Additional Support

⦿ ₹250 is provided to those enrolled in the Deen Dayal Divyangjan Achoni or Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme. 

5. Extra Benefit

⦿ In the 2023-24 budget, an additional ₹150 per month was announced, increasing the total monthly assistance to ₹1,400. 

Who Can Apply for the Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme ?

To qualify for this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

1. Permanent Residency : Applicants must live in Assam and hold permanent resident status. 

2. Income Limit: The household’s annual income should be ₹2 lakh or less

3. Female Representation: The household must have at least one female member. 

4. Bank Account: Applicants must have a bank account in their name to receive funds. 

5. Priority Groups: Special consideration is given to widows, divorced women, and differently abled individuals. 

Who is eligible for Orunodoi beneficiary?

You cannot apply if: 

⦿ Someone in your household is a regular or retired government employee. 

⦿ Your household pays income tax. 

⦿ A member of your household owns a four-wheeler.

How to Apply for the Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme ?

The application process for the Assam Orunodoi Scheme is entirely offline. Beneficiaries must submit their applications through their respective Gaon Panchayat offices or contact Ward Member. Here’s a step-by-step guide to applying:

  1. Obtain the Application Form: Visit your Gaon Panchayat or Ward Member office to collect the Orunodoi Scheme application form.
  2. Complete the Form: Fill out the application form with the required details.
  3. Attach Supporting Documents: Include copies of your Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, and Bank Passbook along with the completed form.
  4. Seek Assistance if Needed: Your ward member will guide and assist you during the application process.
  5. Submit the Application: Hand over the filled application form along with the attached documents to your Gaon Panchayat office.
  6. Detailed Application Form (DAF): Orunodoi Sahayaks at GP/VCDC/ULB will help fill out the Detailed Application Form (DAF), which collects additional details like bank information.
  7. Self-Affidavit: The DAF includes a self-affidavit that selected beneficiaries must sign to confirm their eligibility.
